Whose Life Is It, Anyway?

The People Power Hour tackles prohibitionism; specifically regarding so-called "victimless crimes." Why should prostitution kidneycash.jpgbe illegal? Why can't you sell one of your kidneys to someone who needs one? Feel like running a poker game or some slot machines? Is it really any of your business if your neighbor smokes dope? What makes so many Americans busy-bodies that insist on getting into everyone else's business? Why can't we all just back-the-f-off?

Lawyers, Guns & Money -- Well, Lawyers Anyway

The People Power Hour closes out our last 3:00pm - 4:00pm samw.jpgshow by welcoming Samuel Weissman of the Kramer Law Firm to the studios to talk about; well, the law. Criminal law, civil, you name it. If you have a question, we'll take it on. And, of course, the fellas take their usual jaundiced look at What's Happening around and about your world. Cheap at twice the price, and just as worthy.

Obama Lied; What's New? & LP Senate Candidate Alex Snitker

ObamaLied.jpgThe People Power Hour put it to you: Obama flat-out lied about reconciliation...aren't you pissed? Or do you like being played like a cheap fiddle in a burlesque show? We also unveil our new campaign to support the Florida Health Care Freedom Act (HJR 37) which would lower healthcare costs by allowing open competition across state lines. And, as if that wasn't enough, we welcome the Libertarian Candidate for US Senate, Alex Snitker, to the show to discuss his campaign and whether or not the Libertarians are ready to take advantage of the great political divide in this country.

A Discussion With Dr. Vibert White & Orlando Weekly Wednesday

The People Power Hour welcomes Dr. Vibert White, would-thumbnail.jpgbe candidate against Orlando District 5's Daisy "I never met an opponent I wouldn't get busted" Lynum. We say would-be because at this point, because Dr. White may not make it on next Tuesday's ballot, thanks to allegations regarding his domicile; allegations helped along by Ms. Lynum, who was also allegedly behind efforts to discredit Dr. White with past charges of domestic abuse. Hear the whole story here; can you say federal lawsuit against the City?

We also welcome editor Bob Whitby of the Orlando Weekly for OW Wednesday. Join in or be forever uninformed.

nancy_drooling.jpgThe People Power Hour officially offer our prognosis on the Senate/Obama healthcare reform legislation and offer up a few no-cost alternatives that would mean real reform. A Chat with State Senator Carey Baker

FRdemo.jpgThe People Power Hour gang talks a bit about yesterday's successful demonstration in front of Orlando City Hall for Freedom Ride and the American Legion, both getting stomped upon by the good burghers over Trotter's Park. We alsocbaker.jpg welcome state senator Carey Baker (R-District 20) to the program to discuss state's rights issues, especially regarding the so-called "health-care reform" package festering inside the Beltway.

Also, please sign the petition to keep Freedom Ride at Trotter's Park for the next 5 years....

Demonstration Day & A Chat With Larry Spade

Monday's the big day, ladies and gentlemen of Central Florida. The People Power Hour invites you to join us in front of Orlando City Hall at 6:00pm where we'll collectively let our displeasure be known over the Dyer Brigade's idiotic display of bullying when it comes to Freedom Ride and American Legion Post 19. It's time to show these people that WE are THEIR BOSSES, since they've apparently forgotten that.

larry_spade.jpgAlso joining us will be Orlando city council candidate for District 3, Larry Spade. We'll be finding out why he's running, how his stewardship would be different and if we can expect more than just the Same Old Same Old.

The People Power Hour Wants YOU...!

Protest.jpg...to help us show Dyer and his gang of useful idiots that trying to give the bum's rush to Freedom Ride and American Legion Post 19 is way too much, and way over the top. We're organizing a protest in front of Orlando City Hall for Monday, February 22nd at 6:00pm and we're counting on you to join in. Let's show Dyer he isn't OUR Buddy and it's time for him and his cronies to act like adults for a change instead of bullies.

Dr. John In Da House!

As another week comes to a close, we spend a few moments DrJohn.jpgthinking of our brothers and sisters in Haiti; we also wonder whether Jay Leno will be a man and insist that NBC honor its contract to Conan O'Brien. And of course, the Good Doctor himself, Dr. John Bellomo, will energize Central Florida the way only he can. Will this be the day he finally convinces George to visit his clinical paradise of health and vitality?

Orlando, The City Boorish

You've heard us harp and whinge since last Friday about the freedomride.gifDyer brigade's recent outrage; ousting the Freedom Ride organization from Trotter's Park so that the city can supposedly install some new baseball fields and soccer pitches. I say supposedly because Orlando doesn't have the money to build 'em. But they can act like boorish clods by depriving handicapped folks the benefit of the area's only accredited therapeutic equestrian facility. Now you can hear all about it from Freedom Ride board member Sam Dunaway. Prepare to be outraged.

In addition to finding out why he feels the need to unseat one of his own, we'll find out what moved him to run; what he thinks about the massive budget cuts for NASA; and how he would work to protect Florida's unique environment. Oh, and the Big One: Would he or wouldn't he have ticked the "Yea" box for ObamaCare?
